國際護士會（International Council of Nurses，ICN）將2011年國際護士節的主題確定為“Closing The Gap: Increasing Access and Equity”,中文譯為“縮小差距：增加收入和公平”。http://www.qhzkw.net
International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth. The International Council of Nurses commemorates this important day each year with the production and distribution of the International Nurses' Day (IND) Kit. The IND kit 2011, contains educational and public information materials, for use by nurses everywhere.http://www.qhzkw.net
The IND theme for 2011 is: Closing The Gap: Increasing Access and Equity縮小差距：增加收入和（分配的）公平. The content of this year's kit, including the poster image are posted here as downloadable documents for use by individual nurses, associations, health ministries and health institutions. This material has already been disseminated to national nurses' associations worldwide. Though mainly planned around May 12 each year, IND activities continue for much of the year by nurses and others. We encourage nurses everywhere to make extended use of the Closing The Gap: Increasing Access and Equity kit throughout the year, through individual action and group activities.
慶祝“5.12”國際護士節活動方案
在“5.12”到來之際，護理部將舉辦以“貼近患者、奉獻愛心”為主題的系列慶祝活動。旨在規范護理人員的基本技能，加強護患溝通，改善護患關系。使護士在工作中更加貼近患者，為患者提供優質、高效、滿意的護理服務。
系列活動一、舉辦“我的健康——我做主”護患聯誼會
護士、住院病人、陪護共同參與。采取游戲互動、現場搶答、發放小獎品的形式，使大家在輕松、愉快的環境中了解疾病的預防、保健等健康知識，護士的專業知識也在活動中得以體現。通過這種寓教于樂的形式將起到健康宣教和促進護患和諧關系的目的。
系列活動二、中西醫護理技能大賽
組織全院性中西醫護理技能大賽。（靜脈輸液、耳穴壓豆）。護理部統一操作流程、統一考核標準、統一組織規范性培訓，通過比賽進一步促進全院護理人員專項技能的規范化。以科室為單位進行初選，各科選出兩名優勝者參加全院組織的決賽，并對優秀人員進行表彰。
系列活動三、開展院“護理服務標兵”評選
為樹立我院護理隊伍的良好形象，充分激勵全院護士愛崗敬業、服務奉獻、爭先創優的精神，力爭做到患者滿意、醫院滿意、社會滿意的優質護理服務，全院將開展 “護理服務標兵 ”的評選活動。通過住院病人投票、科室民主評議評出各科室業務精、服務好、工作作風嚴謹、協作精神強的“護理服務標兵”予以表彰。
系列活動四、慶祝“5.12”國際護士節表彰聯誼會
1、對中西醫護理技能大賽、中醫基礎理論知識比賽、院護理服務標兵給予表彰。
